Ellis was at LBF24 when her debut Awaken the Dawn received a nod from The Selfies (awards sponsored by the London Book Fair and BookBrunch). She was the only American author who shortlisted in the Children's category, which included board books for Young Readers, Children's books, Middle Grade & Young Adult novels.
